| Q1. How many vacancies are available for RRC
Northern Railway Act Apprentice Recruitment 2025? |
| A. There are a total of 4116 Act Apprentice training slots
across
various clusters of Northern Railway. |
| Q2. When will the online application process
start
and close? |
| A. The online application starts on 25 November 2025
and
closes on 24 December 2025 (11:59 PM). |
| Q3. What is the minimum eligibility for
Northern
Railway Apprentice 2025? |
| A. Candidates must have passed 10th with 50% marks and possess
an
ITI certificate in the relevant trade (NCVT/SCVT). |
| Q4. Is there any written exam for the Act
Apprentice selection? |
| A. No, there is no written examination. Selection is purely
based
on a merit list of 10th and ITI marks. |
| Q5. Is there age relaxation for reserved
category
candidates? |
| A. Yes. SC/ST get 5 years, OBC 3 years, PwBD 10–15 years and
Ex-Servicemen get service period + 3 years relaxation. |
| Q6. What is the minimum and maximum age
limit?

| A. Minimum age is 15 years and maximum age is 24 years
(category-wise relaxation as per rules). |
| Q7. Are candidates awaiting 10th or ITI
results
eligible? |
| A. No. Candidates must have both 10th and ITI certificates at
the
time of application. |
| Q8. What documents are required to apply?

| A. 10th marksheet, ITI certificate, category certificate (if
applicable), photo, signature and valid ID proof. |
| Q9. How is the merit list prepared? |
| A. Merit list is prepared from the average percentage of 10th
and
ITI marks, trade-wise and cluster-wise. |
| Q10. What happens after the merit list is
published? |
| A. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document
Verification
and Medical Examination. |
| Q11. What is the application fee? |
| A. ₹100 for General/OBC/EWS, while SC/ST/PwBD and all female
candidates are exempted from paying the fee. |
| Q12. Can I apply for multiple clusters or
trades? |
| A. No. Candidates are generally allowed to choose only one
cluster
and one trade as per the notification rules. |
| Q13. What are the clusters included in this
recruitment? |
| A. Major clusters include Lucknow, Delhi, Ambala, Firozpur and
Moradabad. |
| Q14. What are the major trades covered?

| A. Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Machinist, Carpenter, Diesel
Mechanic, Painter, Turner, Wireman, Data Entry Operator, Stenographer (English)
and
other related trades. |
| Q15. Is hostel or accommodation provided
during
training? |
| A. No. Apprentices have to arrange their own accommodation and
travel. |
| Q16. Will I get a permanent job after
completing
apprenticeship? |
| A. No direct appointment is guaranteed. However,
apprenticeship
experience is beneficial for future railway and other recruitments. |
| Q17. Can I edit my application form after
final
submission? |
| A. No. Once submitted, the application cannot be edited.
Candidates must fill details carefully. |
| Q18. What should I do if the official website
is
not opening? |
| A. Try again after some time, clear browser cache, or use a
different browser/network. Heavy traffic near the last date may cause temporary
issues. |
| Q19.Is it mandatory to upload ITI certificate
and
marksheet? |
| A. Yes. Without proper ITI documents, the application is
liable to
be rejected. |
| Q20.Is medical fitness mandatory? |
| A. Yes. Only candidates found medically fit as per railway
standards will be engaged for apprenticeship training. |
